"I like your cheeks"
"I like your lips"
"I like your eyebrows"
"You're a beautiful princess"
"I like your ears"
"Your freckles are pretty."
All these things were said to me over the past several days by the girls. How sweet are they? Okay, so at one point they also threw in a "your butt is big," but I'll forgive them for that one. They mean well.

Pregnant check in time
Another OB appointment today. All is well. I'm up more weight than I care to admit...therefore, I won't. Hey, my blog, my rules. I'm measuring like I'm 20 weeks pregnant, so just a little ahead. And baby's heartbeat was in the high 140s. That's about it. There's not much going on at these appointments.
Our fetal anatomy ultrasound is scheduled for April 2nd. No, we will not be finding out the gender. Unless of course, both of us have a really weak moment at the same time. And I have another OB appointment lined up with Dr L in just shy of four weeks.
The nurse practitioner I saw today actually sent me to the lab today to test my thyroid. I am super cold all.the.time. It's annoying. I wear a fleece jacket to work every day. I sleep with more blankets on my side of the bed than I can count. I'm constantly engaging in thermostat battles with everyone. So we're going to rule out hypothyroidism. If that's what I have, it's an easy fix. So we'll see.
Ah yes, one little tidbit about this baby. Hyperactive. Now that the movements have gotten stronger, I know for a fact that I started feeling her move at least by 15 1/2 weeks but maybe even a bit earlier than that. And on Monday night, I already saw this baby move! Saw it! I wasn't even 18 weeks yet. So this is a very active little one. Should be interesting as she gets bigger and those movements become real kicks and punches. I sense a complete lack of sleep in the future.

March = not fun
I'm wondering if we can just skip the month of March next year. Seriously. This is the third March in a row that the girls gave gotten pretty gosh darn sick. The only March they were immune was when they were five months old. But at a year and a half, two and a half, and three and a half...March has hit this house hard.
It's always the same stubborn fevers that I seem to be treating! Last March was awful because between all three girls, I treated fevers for 11 days straight. This past week, I treated Addi for three days, then we had a little reprieve. I was just waiting, waiting, waiting. I know the routine in this house by now. Addi gets sick first and shares it with Livi. Sometimes Livi lags behind by a day, sometimes it's upwards of four days.
Sure enough, two days later, I was treating Livi's fevers for four days. They both had coughs, fevers, body aches, etc. Definitely not fun. The coughs still linger but we can handle those! Just glad that we're done with that other junk.
So everyone is healthy now, knock on wood. And it was just in time for the brilliantly wonderful weather we had this weekend. We reached the 80s!! In Wisconsin!! Just craziness. I had to work all weekend, but Nate had the girls in the backyard pool both yesterday and today. Unfortunately, the camera battery died, so there aren't any pictures to share. I can't believe we're swimming outside in the middle of March. This definitely hasn't been a normal winter... but we won't complain!

Spring is teasing us
The weather has been gorgeous the past couple of days and is supposed to continue through the rest of this week. The temps have been in the 60s and we're supposed to be in the 70s on Wednesday! Are you kidding me? But I'm not getting my hopes up...because after all, this is Wisconsin. We've been known to get a snow storm or two in May. However, we'll enjoy the warmer temps while we can.
Today we went to the park. We went for a walk. We played with chalk on the driveway. We played hopscotch. And we took our tricycles and scooters for a little spin. In other words, we were outside for a good chunk of the day!!

Addi is drawing a rainbow of some sort.
Pretty sure Livi was saying "awww" about a puppy across the street.
What a sweet face.
And another one.
So contemplative. Should I hopscotch or not?!
Livi thought it was loads of fun!!

Nothing new to report
I know I haven't written in a week, but there's really nothing going on.
By next week I'll probably be in maternity clothes. Everything is starting to get a bit tight, so I would assume that given another week, I'll have to cave. And I'm pretty gosh darn sure that I'm feeling the flutters of this baby. No real big movements, just tiny, tiny flutters. I guess they call it quickening. Why? I'm not sure.
I know I didn't feel the twins move until I was over 20 weeks, but I think part of that was because of the placental placement...Livi's was smack dab in the front of my belly, so it made things harder to feel until they were big enough to kick around the sides of it. With Elli, I undeniably felt her for the first time at 17 1/2 weeks, and actually saw her move at exactly 18 weeks. So I guess it's definitely possible to feel this baby now at 16 weeks.
That's really all. Like I said, life is pretty boring right now!!
