Emmi's blanket. It's on an interesting journey with her. At 12 months old, she just needed her blanket in her possession...simple as that. At 15 months old, she needed to be able to hold onto a corner so that she could rub it under her nose...mostly when she was very sleepy. At 18 months old, she had a very specific corner of the blanket she needed to hold onto...it was the most ratted one, but that's the one she insisted be in her hand.
Now at 20 months old, she absolutely, positively needs to hold onto ALL FOUR corners of the blanket. She will obsessively search for all four of the corners, even with her eyes closed as she's drifting off to sleep. During the day, when she's more awake, she will just look at me and say "more corner." She wants me to find them for her!
This poor little blanket. It'll be interesting to see what the next phase of its journey will be with Emmi.
